How we love
shapes how we live.

Sex & relationship therapy for more connection, pleasure, honesty, and depth.

IN-PERSON IN SACRAMENTO & VIRTUAL ACROSS CALIFORNIA

"Eroticism is a quality of vitality, aliveness, and vibrancy." - Esther Perel

Maybe you're here because...

You love your partner, but you’re not sure where the spark went.

You want sex to feel like connection, not pressure.

You’ve tried couples therapy, but somehow sex never came up.

You want more intimacy, pleasure, depth, or aliveness.

You keep having the same fight and can’t seem to get out of the cycle.

Something has shifted in your desire and sexuality and you want to understand why.

This is exactly the kind of work we do.

Feeling disconnected from your body, your desire, or your sense of sexual self can be deeply isolating. Whether you’re navigating identity, intimacy, or past experiences, sex therapy offers a space to explore and reconnect—without shame or pressure.

You’re not alone if things feel harder than they used to—conflict, disconnection, or a desire to relate differently can all bring couples into therapy. Relational therapy helps you move through stuck dynamics with honesty, care, and clarity.

Sometimes life looks fine on the outside, but inside you feel flat, restless, or unanchored. Individual therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, understand what’s missing, and build a more meaningful, aligned life.

Hi, I'm Emma.

Certified Sex Therapist & Founder of Wild Poppy Counseling Collective.

I started Wild Poppy to offer the kind of therapy space many clients spend years trying to find, one where conversations about sex, intimacy, identity, relationships, and emotional complexity are met with skill, openness, and zero shame.

Our team specializes in areas that are often misunderstood, minimized, or difficult to talk about, including:

  • Sexual pain, pelvic pain, and uncomfortable intimacy

  • Low desire, desire differences, and disconnection

  • Shame, anxiety, or confusion around sex and pleasure

  • Sexual trauma recovery and rebuilding safety in the body

  • Communication challenges and recurring relationship conflict

  • Exploring identity, body image, and sexual self-understanding

  • Non-monogamy, kink, and alternative relationship structures

You don’t have to filter yourself here. This is a space where you can be honest, curious, and fully seen.

At the heart of our work is the belief that you already have what you need to live an authentic, fulfilling life. Therapy is where we create the conditions to uncover that  working through the barriers, patterns, and disconnections that get in the way.

As seen in..

Why choose WPCC?

At Wild Poppy Counseling Collective, we believe therapy should be both deeply effective and genuinely accessible. That’s what sets us apart.

Most therapists receive little training in sexuality or complex relational dynamics. Ours specialize in both.

Every therapist on our team is:

  • Highly trained in sex and relational therapy

  • Grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care

  • Focused on real, lasting change, not just insight

All clinicians are supervised by a Certified Sex Therapist, ensuring consistent quality across our practice.

 We offer:

  • Sliding scale options, with sessions ranging from $40 (doctoral interns) to $250 (licensed therapists)

  • Evening and flexible scheduling

  • Virtual sessions across California and Washington

  • In-person care in Sacramento and Davis

  • Services in English and Spanish
