ABOUT

I specialize in EMDR therapy and trauma-focused care, supporting  individuals, couples, veterans, first responders, and relational systems  navigating the impact of trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, relational wounds, grief,  life transitions, intimacy challenges, sexual trauma,  and other significant life experiences. Many of my clients come to  therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or  stuck in patterns shaped by past experiences. They may be struggling  with trust, relationships, emotional regulation, self-worth,  or feeling safe within themselves and with others.

This can look like:

  • Feeling emotionally shut down, overwhelmed, or constantly on edge

  • Difficulty trusting others or rebuilding trust after betrayal

  • Hypervigilance, irritability, anger, shame, or emotional numbness

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, or your relationships

  • Trouble relaxing, sleeping, or feeling emotionally safe

  • Difficulty setting boundaries or patterns of people-pleasing

  • Struggles with intimacy, vulnerability, or emotional closeness

  • Avoiding touch, affection, or sex because it no longer feels safe

I approach trauma holistically, recognizing that trauma doesn’t only  live in thoughts or memories; it can also show up in the body,  relationships, emotions, sleep, sexuality, and day-to-day functioning.  My work focuses on emotional regulation, nervous system  awareness, and rebuilding trust. As a veteran myself, I understand the  unique pressures that can come with service, high-responsibility roles,  and environments where vulnerability may not always feel safe. I strive  to create a space where you can feel safe  exploring both your emotions and your relationships. I am fluent in  both English and Spanish, and I strive to create a culturally  responsive, nonjudgmental, and compassionate space where clients feel  safe to explore their experiences.

Outside of therapy, I’m a wife and mom who deeply values connection,  presence, and creating a life rooted in balance and intention. I was  born and raised in Colombia, and my cultural background continues to  shape the way I view relationships, healing, family,  and community. I find joy in the simple and meaningful moments. I love  coffee, traveling, practicing Pilates, spending time in nature, and  making memories with the people I love..
