ABOUT
I help people who feel stuck in their personal or relational lives to find a meaningful way forward. In our work together, we first slow things down to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Life can be hectic; therapy is a place to catch your breath and reconnect to yourself, your values, and each other.
I specialize in supporting women and couples through the upheavals of midlife. Menopause, retirement planning, children leaving home, caring for aging parents – the realities of this season of life are overwhelming and often require a new set of coping tools. If insomnia is your main concern, we can tackle that directly using CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), which is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment that I trained in at Stanford.
Half of my workweek is spent as a research scientist at UC Davis and the other half seeing therapy clients. I bring both of those hats to work with clients, by drawing from evidence-based approaches while staying closely attuned to your unique lived experience.
