ABOUT
I specialize in working with teens, adults, and couples navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, disability, and medical trauma. Living with illness or disability can affect far more than physical health, it can impact identity, relationships, sexuality, communication, and sense of self.
This can look like:
Feeling disconnected from your body after illness, pain, or diagnosis
Struggling with intimacy, sex, or physical connection in your relationship
Feeling guilty, burdensome, or misunderstood by partners or loved ones
Navigating caregiving dynamics, resentment, or shifting relationship roles
Grieving changes in identity, independence, sexuality, or future plans
Feeling exhausted from constantly managing symptoms, appointments, or accommodations
Feeling unseen because your illness is invisible to others
Managing anxiety, depression, shame, or isolation connected to chronic illness
In session, I aim to balance depth with approachability using mindfulness, gentle reflection, and the occasional humor to make hard work feel a little lighter. My work is trauma-informed and strengths-based, helping clients move from overwhelm and self-doubt toward empowerment and connection. Together, we will work to navigate identity shifts, and create relationships that feel more supportive, authentic, and secure while making space for the grief, resilience, and ongoing complexity that can come with living in a changing body.
On a personal note, I never leave home without my emotional support water bottle and iced coffee. When I am not studying or in session, you’ll find me hanging out with my cats & Fiancé, listening to Taylor Swift, or unwinding with reality TV (when time allows!).
